    Oh, MY.

If a thread is clearly labelled to be about a TV programme that I haven't seen, then I read such threads at my own risk, and if someone accidentally drops in a spoiler, so be it, it's an accident. But when a complaint is made about a spoiler in an unrelated thread, and such a complaint is...

    ARRRRR!!!! Dead Man's Chest!!

Re: ARRRRR!!!! Dead Man\'s Chest!! Saw it last night and it was great fun. Yes, the plot could have done with a bit more flesh on the bones, but the special effects were fantastic and there were some laugh out loud funny moments :D

    Oh, MY.

Thanks Chili, that's exactly what I meant. I don't hold grudges, and I can't even remember who it was who posted the Lost spoiler now, but when Season 1 of BSG was showing in the UK before it showed in the US, UK posters showed great restraint and consideration and held back from posting...

    Oh, MY.

It's when spoilers are dropped into completely unrelated threads that the Brits complain. As when someone mentioned that a character in Lost was killed off in Season 2, when that season hadn't started showing in the UK.

    Kosh and Ulkesh

If you think that's bad, imagine Kosh saying "I come from Barcelona"

    Kosh and Ulkesh

I'm trying to imagine Ulkesh saying "Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die."  :D Nah...

X-Men 3: The Last Stand (possible spoilers)

Totaly agree. A good, fun movie. Kept my attention with lots of fast action, good effects, and just enough emotional investment in the main characters to care what happened to them, without slowing the story down. It may not be what true X-men afficionados want, but for the casual fan, a good...

BSG Season 2 Finale (SPOILER CONTENT - BE WARNED)

Re: BSG Season 2 Finale (SPOILER CONTENT - BE WARN Couldn't it be more personal than that? Starbuck tortured that Cylon. Maybe he wants payback... I thought that, too. It shouldn't have been a baby, but a toddler. A one year old would be tottering around, not wrapped up in a blanket...

Gary Cole gets props in Onion AV Club

Thanks for the link :) Obviously, I completely agree, but I wish they'd mentioned American Gothic which was his best role of all!

    The Chronicles of Narnia DVD

You have to put it into the context of the time when it was written. At that tme it wasn't sexist, it was normal. That doesn't make it right of course. Today I heard an item on the news about a 91 year old woman who today was given her 'wings' to recognise the fact that she parachuted into...

And The Difference Between The B5:TMoS Situation..

Re: And The Difference Between The B5:TMoS Situati Reavers, raiders, whatever :D I must have been thinking about that Raver Reading party Wash mentioned  And yes, although Reavers were once human, they were so far removed from the norm that they served the function of aliens in Serenity.

    The Chronicles of Narnia DVD

I haven't seen the movie but it sounds as if they're bieng true to the books in this respect. Remember these were written and set sixty years ago. In those days girls weren't expected to fight or stand alongside boys. Giving them weapons at all was a major break with stereotypes.

And The Difference Between The B5:TMoS Situation..

Re: And The Difference Between The B5:TMoS Situati Raiders. Human but not entirely so.
