I hate to say this, being a die-hard Trekkie, but... ... I freaking loved this movie. Any nitpicks I have (and I have a few, a lot of which you all have mentioned) fall apart in the face of the sheer roiling awesome. I can't believe this is a Channe review. I'm usually pickier!

My theory: Baltar and Starbuck are both Daniel models. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. It's not as crazy as some of the canon. :)

The one thing I don't like is this -- Galactica has been getting along pretty well without having One Major Villain. The major villain is humanity ourselves -- the many faults and failings of this flesh body and mind, and the many awesome things it can do as well (love, for example). And now...

The Garibaldi movie would have been lovely. I'm so much more interested in what goes on in Garibaldi's head than Lochley's.

Eugh, billions of dead Markab! I agree, though -- it would have taken a less hotheaded leader than Byron to make this sort of thing happen. And you never know -- maybe it does, down the line somewhere.
